After graduation from Florida State University, David worked side by side with his mother Mary Smith at the family insurance agency to build a business that would care about their clients and strive to give them the best coverage available with top rated carriers. The agency was a multi line agency selling commercial, personal and life products.

In 1998, Mary retired from the insurance agency and David decided to specialize in personal lines coverage. The agency was then renamed Wojtusik, Smith & Associates Personal Lines Insurance Agency. In 2000 David merged his personal lines operation with Insurance Office of America. David saw the need for a targeted approach to personal needs of clients. David insures everything from autos, flood, umbrella policies, condominiums to high value dwellings that are hard to insure. David has also developed a very prestigious private client division with the best companies that are targeted for the high net worth lifestyle. David is one of the few agents in the state with these exclusive programs.

David is heavily involved in the community coaching several divisions of baseball and soccer teams. In his free time he competes in the sport of Triathlon. Recently completing his first half Ironman race in Augusta Georgia.
