Is jewelry covered by my homeowners policy????

One of the most common misunderstandings of a homeowners policy is that jewelry is covered under the contents portion of the policy. Unless your policy has a special extension or endorsement for jewelry not separately covered, the limit is usually $1,000 total, not per piece.
